Cutting plans for boards, battens, mouldings and tubes
Kortalo works out how to cut your pieces from the stock you have or can buy, so you know what to buy before you go to the store.

A cutting plan and a shopping list
Enter the pieces you want and the lengths available. For each material, Kortalo computes a cutting plan, with the blade width counted in, and the shopping list, which you can share as text.
Two goals can be compared: fewest bars to buy, or lowest purchase cost when every length you can buy has a price.
Every bar drawn, then cut in order
A diagram shows each bar, with its two ends marked A and B and the pieces in cutting order.
Workshop mode gives the cuts one after the other, keeps the screen on and can read the instructions aloud. You check each piece once it is cut, and your progress is saved.
Offcuts you can find again
In a project, you enter the bars and offcuts you already have: the calculation takes them into account, so you buy less.
With Kortalo Pro, the rest of a bar can be kept as an offcut in the workshop, with the place where you store it, and the offcut inventory follows you from one project to the next.
Made to work in the shop
Kortalo works offline. There is no account to create and no server: your projects stay on your phone. The app has no advertising and no tracking.
Metric and imperial units, with fractions of an inch. The app is available in 50 languages.
