Privacy
Below is the privacy policy of the Kortalo app, word for word as the app shows it, followed by what concerns this website.
Kortalo works on your phone alone. This page says what the app does with your data, and nothing more.
Your data stays on your phone
Projects, plans, workshop progress, offcuts and settings are saved in a database on this phone. The app has no account and no server, and it makes no network request. It contains no advertising, no usage measurement and no tracking.
Android Auto Backup
If Google backup is turned on in your phone settings, Android may copy the app’s data folder, including the database, to your Google account, at most once a day. Android does this, not the app, and you control it in the phone settings. Files prepared for sharing sit in the cache, which is not copied. A backup file you export is separate and stays where you send it.
Purchase
Google Play handles the payment for Kortalo Pro. The app receives no card number and no identity, only a purchase token that stays on this phone. The token is never sent to a server of ours and is not part of backup files.
Reading aloud
In the workshop, spoken instructions are read by your phone’s own speech engine. The app gives it only the sentence to read.
Permissions
The app never asks you for a permission. It reaches no photo, contact, location, microphone or camera, and no global storage: files go through the Android share menu and file picker. Android lets it vibrate for the workshop feedback, with no question asked. Like every app built with React Native, it carries the network permission, but it uses it for nothing.

This website
kortalo.com sets no cookie, loads no script, font or image from another site, and does not measure its visits.
The web server (nginx) writes one line per request: date and time, page requested, response code and size. It records neither your IP address nor your browser. This log stays inside the container that serves the site and is limited to three files of 1 MB: the oldest lines are erased when the limit is reached, and the whole log is erased each time the site is updated, when the container is recreated. It is used only to diagnose a fault.
The site is hosted on a server rented from Hostinger.
